- UFO Like a Big Cigar

- Four people have reported seeing a mysterious and luminous "cigar-shaped"
- object hovering in the sky near their home in western Victoria.

- It is the second report this month of a similarly described unidentified
- flying object and the latest in an apparent rash of UFO sightings.

- Chris Moore and her boyfriend, mechanic John Vagg, said they saw the
- object above their property near ballarat, west of Melbourne at 10:30 pm
- on Sunday.

- The two, who live between Durham Lead and Buninyong, 13 km south of
- Ballarat, reported it to the National UFO Reporting and Sighting
- Hotline. Ms Moore's daughter and cousin also saw the UFO.

- A reported sighting of an unexplained "cigar-shaped object" in the sky
- was made on May 6 in Perth, Western Australia.

- On Sunday night, a Brisbane family said they saw a mysterious objecct in
- the sky which they caught on video.

- A Melbourne man said that he photographed "an orange-ish fireball"
- reportedly seen by people in the suburbs of Heidelburg and Ivanhoe yesterday.

- Mr Vagg, 30, said yesterday that the object was larger than an
- aeroplane, solid and white with red and blue near its center.

- He said it moved without a sound.

- Ms moore who came out with her daughter and cousin when M Vagg called,
- said: "It was like a cigar-shaped object standing on its end and it
- appeared to have a spiral of light around it."

- Hotline director, Ross Dowe said that the four witnesses estimated that
- the object had taken two to four seconds to zoom about 50km south.

- Mr. Dowe said his hotline took a number of calls from people who claimed
- to have seen the object about 30 to 6 metres over head, moving slowly
- towards the Dandenong Ranges.

- The service was also recieved a report from six witnesses claiming to
- have seen a circular light in the bendigo area on Friday night.
